Breu is a resin that you can burn intermittently, for a short period, to cleanse your spirit and your surrounding. It does not remain lit like a candle or incense; it offers a more brief ritual, like burning sage. Burn the Breu resin on the enclosed handcrafted natural tray or another safe, heat-resistant surface of your choice. Breu is a resin that you can burn in the same way as frankincense, copal, myrrh. It may be burned with charcoal, in an incense burner or brazier. Light the tip of one small stone, approximately a half inch in size and let it burn for 30-60 seconds. The resin should emit a dark fragrant smoke indicating it is slowly smoldering. Then gently extinguish the flame by blowing or fanning. Please do not handle burning stones and allow the stones to cool down completely. Do not leave burning Breu Resin unattended. Costa Brazil believes in sustainability.
